For over 15 years, I worked as a teacher with adolescents, which gave me firsthand insight into the challenges young people face as they navigate identity, self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions. That role strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Later, my experience working in a rehabilitation facility further shaped my counseling style.
The importance of being nonjudgmental, open, and meeting people exactly where they are in their healing journey is my priority in every interaction.
My personal experiences with domestic abuse and trauma have also been pivotal in shaping my calling as a counselor. They deepened my passion to advocate for survivors and to create spaces where individuals feel seen, validated, and empowered to reclaim their voices. These experiences drive me to approach every client with understanding, compassion, and respect for their unique journey.
As a counselor, I strive to combine my clinical training as well as life experiences to walk alongside clients as they confront challenges, discover inner strengths, and build resilience. What I love most about this work is seeing people realize that healing and growth are possible and that they already carry within them the tools to create meaningful change in their lives.
